JPS approves net billing when three things check out: compliant equipment, a code-standard installation, and a complete interconnection application. Miss any one and the file stalls — which is why BTECH handles all three as a bundle on grid-tie projects.
Requirement 1: compliant equipment
Grid-interactive inverters must meet JPS technical standards for voltage, frequency and anti-islanding behaviour (shutting off exports during outages to protect line workers). The hybrid inverters BTECH stocks — 6kW to 12kW, J$220,000–J$430,000 — are selected with interconnection in mind.
Requirement 2: a standard installation
Proper protection (DC/AC breakers, surge devices), grounding, labelling and workmanship that passes inspection. Installed by our own team, the system is application-ready by design.
Requirement 3: the paperwork
The interconnection application with system specifications, single-line diagram and property/account details. We prepare and file it — you provide the JPS account information and signatures.
